COLLISION REPAIR TECHNICIAN
S&W Expert Collision Repair is a high volume collision repair facility that is seeking a COLLISION REPAIR TECHNICIAN to add to our team. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repair vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards
- De-trim, disassemble, and repair vehicles with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Check parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received
- Prepare vehicles for body repair work
- Notify management of any additional repairs needed and documents any additional parts and labor required to perform a satisfactory repair
- Notify management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised completion date
- Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer
- Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials and report any deviations to management
- Perform proper tool and equipment usage and maintenance
- Cooperate and assist other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles as needed
- Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company’s values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors
- Maintain a clean work area
- Other duties assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Positive attitude and fix it right the first time mentality
- Two or more years related experience as a collision repair technician with heavy structural collision and frame experience
- ICAR or ASE certifications in auto body repair a plus
- Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged vehicles including body work and when to repair or replace parts
- Ability to read and following instructions on repair/estimate orders
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record*
